**Sunday we are continuing a series on the value of the Bible today. Pastor Dwayne’s title for this Sunday’s sermon, September 22, is “FIREPROOF FAITH” using 2 Timothy 3:1-5 as the scripture text and the additional key verses Hebrews 13:8-9. Pastor Dwane notes that “Progressive Christianity” according to their web site, progressiveChristianity.org appears to believe the inerrant Bible is totally out of date. Their statement and actions indicate their intent is to push Biblical Christianity to the outer margins of society today. Their work is an attempt to “reinvent God” to be the god that they make with their own hands and philosophy, the god of human reason, the god who endorses their moral, social and spiritual activities, and the god who has an amoral stand that lets man set the standards.
